Louis Eugene Pourron, Jr.

Louis, “Lou”, Eugene Pourron, Jr., age 93, of Shippensburg, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at Celebration Villa Living Facility in Shippensburg. He was born on December 14, 1928 in Johnstown, PA, as the son of the late Louis E. Pourron, Sr. and Idella L. (Korman) Pourron.

Louis graduated from Westmont Upper Yoder High School in Johnstown. Lou graduated from Pittsburgh University and attended Penn State University. He entered the US Navy and on Commissioning received flight training and served as a Naval Aviator flying in Anti-Submarine Squadron VS-30. After release from active duty in 1957, he began to work for General Electric. He retired from the US Naval Reserve as a Commander in 1988 and retired from GE in 1993 as a Senior Design Engineer. He is survived by his sister, Eleanor K. Pourron and extended family of cousins and friends.

Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Memorial Services are at the discretion of the family. Interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville, PA.
