Louise E. Heebner

Louise E. Heebner, age 80 of York Springs, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2017 at her home. She was born Monday, October 4, 1937 in Gettysburg the daughter of the late Clyde E. and Maybelle (Taylor) Mansberger. Louise graduated from Biglerville High School in 1955. She retired from the U.S. Naval Depot in Mechanicsburg where she worked as a computer programmer. She was a member of Chapel Hill Church of God in York Springs for the majority of her life. While attending she was an active member singing in the church choir as well as teaching both children's church and Sunday school. After church, she loved having her family gather at her home for Sunday lunch, which quickly became a family tradition. Her other favorite pastimes include gardening, watching the birds and reading. She is survived by children, Beth (Darren) Mellott of Gardners, Mark Heebner of York Springs, and Jay (Linda) Heebner of Gardners, grandchildren, Rachel (Brian) Helmuth of Redding, CA., Joshua Mellott and Jacob Mellott both of Gardners, and Madison Heebner of York Springs. She is also survived by her brother, Donald Mansberger of Dover and sister, Joyce LaRue of York Springs. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville, PA 17306. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, December 23 at Chapel Hill Church of God, 4521 Oxford Road, York Springs, PA 17372 with Dr. Rev. Randal Huber to serve as officiant. A visitation will be held briefly before the service from 10:00 to 10:30 AM at the church.
