Louise B. Johnson

Louise B. Johnson, age 95 of Spring Run, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2015 at Chambersburg Hospital. She was born Saturday, February 7, 1920 in Metal Township, the child of the late John and Anna Mary (Guyer) Johnston. Louise was a homemaker who loved to plant flowers anywhere she could find a place to put them. She was a member of the Amberson Valley homemakers group and a lifetime member of the Amberson Historical Society. She is survived by her children, Louetta L. Varner, Fred K. (husband of Fern) Johnson, Peggy L. (wife of Ronald) Fleagle and Rita J. (wife of Bill) Glass; nine grandchildren, Tim Varner, Gary Varner, Douglas Varner, Shelly Varner Boggs, Tina Johnson Finkenbinder, Jim Johnson, Danny Fleagle, Angie Fleagle Bair and Shawna Glass Coble; twenty three great-grandchildren and fifteen great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne N. Johnson in August 2002, a son, Ray Lynn in 1964, half-sister Bretha Reed and half-brother Albert Gilbert. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 7 at Amberson United Methodist Church, 18889 Amberson Road, Spring Run, PA 17262 with Reverend James Fox, Pastor Phillip Foster and Pastor DeAnn Newhouse officiating. A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Upper Path Valley Cemetery.
