Louise M. Neil

Louise M. Neil, age 88 of Willow Hill, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at Shippensburg Healthcare Center. She was born February 28, 1932 in Concord, PA, the daughter of the late Harry and Mae (Hockenberry) Freet. Louise was a member of Shady Pine Mennonite Church and former member of the Secret Sister Club at the church. In her spare time, she enjoyed baking, sewing and gardening flowers. Most all of all, she enjoyed spending time with the grandkids, family and the neighborhood children. Louise leaves behind a surviving family of five generations. She is survived by two loving daughters, Eleanore Smith and Violet Shields; two loving sons, Barry Neil and Daniel Neil; two brothers, Harry “Junior” Freet, Jr. and Dennis Freet; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Louise is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Donald G. Neil, Sr., who passed in January of 2009; son, Donald G. Neil, Jr.; six brothers and four sisters. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Private Graveside Services will be held at Upper Path Valley Cemetery with Pastor Butch Neil officiating. Contributions may be made in Louise’s memory to the family.
