Louise B. Worrell

Helen (Louise) Bowen Worrell, age 79, of Carlisle, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at Manor Care Nursing and Rehab in Carlisle. She was born Thursday, March 21, 1940 in Dover, NH, the daughter of the late Walter E. and Helen C. (Hatch) Bowen. Louise graduated from Manchester Central High School in 1958. She was formerly employed by the University of South Florida in Tampa as a secretary in the chemistry department. She was a member of The Daughters of the American Revolution. Her husband, Jay H. Worrell, passed away January 27, 2007. She is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Ann McGowan of Carlisle, Carolyn L. Worrell of Manti, UT, one son, Steven H. Worrell of Tallahassee, FL, seven grandchildren and one great-grandson; one sister, Carolyn Grubb of Angola, IN and two brothers, Richard Bowen of Tampa, FL and Robert Bowen, Lake Havasu City, AZ. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Davis and Priscilla Leavitt and one brother, Walter E. "Bud" Bowen, III. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg.
