Luther C. Harman, Jr.

Luther C. Harman, Jr., age 83, of Aspers, passed away May 1, 2024 at Quincy Village. He was born August 11, 1940 in Gettysburg to the late Luther C., Sr. and Kathryn A. (Seymore) Harman.

Luther graduated from Biglerville High School, class of 1959. He was a US Army veteran, having served from 1959 to 1962, a guided missile technician for Letterkenny Army Depot, for 30 years and a member of Trinity Christian Fellowship. He was an avid hunter and a jokester and loved to laugh. He enjoyed camping with his wife and friends and taking bus trips to races and going to concerts at the Luhrs Center. Luther also enjoyed taking road trips out west and even drove to the west coast.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Judith E. (Taylor) Harman; daughter, Katrina K. Becker of Gettysburg; sons, Dennis L. Harman and wife, Mary of Lewisburg, Bryan K. Harman of Biglerville and Terry L. Harman of Lancaster, NY; grandchildren, Lindsey Matteson and husband, Josh of Shippensburg, Brittany Harman and wife, Shannon Murphy of Dillsburg, Morgan Siddiqi and husband, Saquib of Lewisburg, Ashlin Kline and husband, Kevin of Sinking Spring and Mariah Becker of Hanover; great-grandchildren, Levi McCleaf and Raelyn Matteson of Shippensburg and Jonah and Sophia Siddiqi of Lewisburg. Luther was preceded in death by his sisters, Anna Lee Constable and Shirley Mummert, and brother, Wilson Harman.

Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 S. Main Street, Bendersville, where a visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 from 10:00 AM until time of Memorial Service at 11:00 AM. Reverend John Weber will officiate the service.
