M. Louise Cronauer

Margaret Louise (George) Cronauer, age 83 formerly of Freeport, died Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Village of Laurel Run in Fayetteville, PA. She was born Thursday, January 9, 1930 in Portage, the daughter of the late Ralph and Maude (Gregory) George. Margaret graduated from Portage Area High School in 1948. She retired from Freeport Area School District where she served as secretary to the superintendant. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church in Natrona Heights. Her husband, Frank Cronauer passed away March 17, 1995. She is survived by two eaughters: Cathy L. Trostle of Gettysburg and Elizabeth A. and husband Frank Batoha of Mechanicsburg; one son, Jeffrey L. and wife Ann Flaherty Cronauer of Oakmont; four grandchildren; one brother, James George of St. Leonard, MD and one sister, Nancy Chuba of Tucson, AZ. She was predeceased by seven siblings. Cremation services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Memorial services will be announced at a later date. Interment will be in Freeport Cemetery.
