Margaret C. Beecher

Margaret C. Beecher, age 93 of Newville, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born Monday, February 18, 1924 in Penn Township, the child of the late William Blair and Velva Grace (Hartman) Davidson. She was a graduate of Shippensburg High School. She was a member of the Centerville Lutheran Church and she was also a member of the American Business Women's Association. Margaret was fond of gardening and bowling. She loved having friends and family at the house and feeding everyone that visited. She is survived by her daughters, Margaret Ann Clifford and Nancy Lee Widney, sons, Thomas Blair Beecher, Daniel Ray Beecher and John Allan Beecher, her 19 grandchildren, her 18 great-grandchildren, and 19 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Raymond Beecher, her sons, Harold Raymond Beecher, Jr. and Michael Edward Beecher and sister, Charlotte Gebhart. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. A memorial service to honor her life will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, June 30, 2017 at the Centerville Lutheran Church, 1874 Walnut Bottom Road, Newville.
