Mark Wayne Sheffer

Mark Wayne Sheffer, age 57, Aspers, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025 surrounded by his family at his home. He was born June 18, 1967 in York, as the son of Wayne Martin and Linda Marie (Helm) Sheffer.

Mark graduated in the Class of 1985 from West York High School. He obtained a Master’s Degree in Education from Shippensburg University. Mark retired from the Dover Area School District after being a math teacher for over 25 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 262 in Biglerville. In his spare time, Mark enjoyed outdoor activities, hunting, shooting at the range, riding his four-wheelers and rokons and going to the beach with his wife.

Mark is survived by his father; loving wife of 27 years, Ann M. (Vinopal) Sheffer; son, Andrew Sheffer and his wife, Geneva of Dillsburg; granddaughter, Cora May Sheffer; brother, Matt Sheffer and his husband, Michael Fleischmann; his three Bernese Mountain dogs, “Gretl”, “Liesl” and “Brigitta” and cat, “Topanga Jean Louise”. He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda.

Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main St., Bendersville. Following Mark’s wishes, there will be no services at this time.
