Marlin L. Coons

Marlin L. Coons, age 62 of Shippensburg, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2015 at his home. He was born on Tuesday, October 7, 1952 in Shippensburg, the son of the late David F. and Irene E. (Rhoads) Coons. He was a member of the South Newton Volunteer Fire Company and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by four brothers: David "Sonny" and wife Dixie, Johnny and wife Deb, Jackie and wife Barb and Tommy, six sisters: Jeanie, Alice, Dixie and husband Ron, Bonnie, Darlene and Connie and husband Dexter and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Stanley and Eddie, and sister, Mildred. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Funeral Services will be held Friday August 7, at 10:00 AM at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory with Reverend Derek Wadlington officiating. A viewing will be held 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens.
