Martha E. Graham

On February 19, 2011 Martha E. Graham heard God whisper "Come home my child" and Martha took the Hand that guided her life on earth and trusted God as he led her into heaven where she received the Crown of Life and a new, cancer-free body. Martha was the eldest child of Seth and Lula Cook Secrest, having been born on the eighth day of August 1929. Martha was the wife of Oscar Lee Graham being married October 31, 1954. Martha was the mother of Dennis Graham and the late Douglas Graham. Leaving behind to celebrate her life are her husband Lee, son Dennis and wife Frances Crider Graham, Shippensburg, daughter-in-law Vicky Graham, Fayetteville; grandchildren: Sheila Shore and companion Rob Landis, Red Lion, Bryan Graham, Chambersburg and Doug and companion Karen McCleary, Willow Hill; step-grandson John Breon; great-grandchildren: Ralph, Carrenna, Makayla, Nathaniel, Shelby and Phoebe; her sister Nancy and husband Charles Deardorff, Orrtanna, brother Robert and wife Beulah Secrest, Chambersburg; sister-in-law Gloria Secrest, Orrtanna; her special cousin who was like her sister, Betty Schmidt, Chambersburg as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Martha was preceded in death byher brothe Richard (Dick) Secrest. Martha will be remembered as the Chief Cook and Bottle Washer in her house. She retired from K-Mart, having been in charge of menswear during the 1980's. Martha was a member of The Brethren Fellowship. Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg is handling professional services. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30AM on Thursday, February 24, at Brethren Fellowship, 339 Lincoln Way East. The Reverend Manny Diaz will officiate. Interment will be in Freedom Garden at Parklawns Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM on Thursday preceding the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg, PA 17257 assist the family with funeral expenses.
