Martha J. Rice

Martha, "Marty", J. Rice passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Samuel W. and Grace V. (Piper) Minnich. Marty is survived by her husband, Joe T. Rice; one brother, Bruce Minnich of Newville; two step-sons, Mark Rice of Dillsburg, Kent Rice of Carlisle; two step-grandchildren and two sisters, Mary Jumper of Newville and Janie Gaete of Warren, NJ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Helen Hurley, and brother, Harold "Boot" Minnich. Marty was an avid animal lover, and she always said driving through the mountains when the leaves were changing was a favorite thing to do. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Private graveside services will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.
