Marvel “Sue” C. Butler, age 83 of Aspers, passed away on Friday, December 29, 2017 at her home. She was born on Wednesday, April 25, 1934 in Menallen Twp., the daughter of the late Ralph E. and Sarah C. (Black) Taylor. Marvel graduated from Biglerville High School. She worked at C.H. Mussleman/Knouse Foods and Pfaltzgraff in Bendersville and was a member of the Wenksville United Methodist Church in Wenksville and an honorary member of the Upper Adams Jaycees. Her husband, Loring E. Butler passed away October 9, 2010. She is survived by three daughters, Gail Butler, Lisa Butler and Vickie Butler all of Aspers, four brothers, Freddy Taylor of Phoenix, AZ, Jesse Taylor, David Taylor, Roger Taylor all of Aspers and Clyde Taylor of Bendersville, three sisters, Mary Lou Shultz, Ruth Brandt both of Aspers and Linda McCleaf of Biglerville, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her four brothers, Randy Taylor, Earl J. Taylor, Eugene Taylor and Guy Taylor. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 S. Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Wenksville United Methodist Church with Reverend Rick Robinson officiating. Interment will be in Wenksville Cemetery. A viewing will be held at Dugan Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 2nd from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A viewing will also be held from 10:00 AM until service at the church prior to services.
