Marvin G. Kime, age 84 of Bendersville, passed away Monday, January 12, 2015 in Scottsdale, Arizona where he was spending the winter with his daughter Valerie.He was born March 4, 1930 in Bendersville, the son of the late Harvey and Mary (Webb) Kime. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Phyllis (Decker) Kime, who died October 3, 2014. Marvin graduated from Biglerville High School in 1948. While there, he played football and basketball.He was an accomplished singer, placing in State competitions, performing in school productions, weddings and local events. Marvin served 2 years in the US Army at Ft. Hood, Texas until 1953. He was employed at the Bendersville National Bank (later ACNB) for over 35 years until retiring in 1992. He was a lifelong member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Bendersville and a member of the Ira E. Lady Post 262 American Legion, Biglerville. Marvin enjoyed golfing, playing cards and traveling the US with his wife Phyllis. He is survived by his two daughters: Vicki and husband Chris Cuttitta of Gardners and Valerie Trujillo of Scottsdale, AZ; three grandchildren: Ben Cuttitta of Rockville, MD, Kelly and husband James Lang of Havelock, NC and Teal Trujillo of Phoenix, AZ; and one brother, Roland Kime of Mechanicsburg. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Delmar and Robert, and one sister, Julia Kime. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, January 19 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 126 Church Street, Bendersville with Reverend Maren Alexis-Tomkiel officiating. A viewing will be held at Dugan Funeral Home on Sunday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Interment will be in Bendersville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 449, Bendersville, PA 17306.
