Mary L. Beamer

Mary L. Beamer, age 81 of Biglerville, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Village of Laurel Run in Fayetteville. She was born Tuesday, September 20, 1932 in Peoria, IL, the daughter of the late William E. and Anna (Nottleman) Singley. Mary graduated from Gettysburg High School in 1950. Duffy Motts formerly employed her for several years. She had also worked at Mt. Orchard Co-op and C.H. Musselman in Biglerville. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Biglerville and Upper Adams Senior Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy A. Beamer who passed in 1998. She is survived by three daughters, Susan Beamer, Elizabeth and husband Charles Bergey and Tammy Shindeldecker, all of Biglerville; four sons, William H. and wife Lynda Beamer, Robert A. and wife Patricia Beamer, all of Biglerville, Guy (Butch) and wife Debra Beamer of Orrtanna, Richard and wife Judy Beamer of Gettysburg; twenty grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Berger of Oregon, IL and Nancy Dorsey of Monrovia, MD. A sister, Shirley Carmack and a brother, James Singley preceded her in death. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, July 18 at Dugan Funeral Home with Reverend John Estes officiating. Interment will be in Wenksville Cemetery. A viewing will be held Thursday, July 17 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Biglerville Ambulance Association, P.O. Box 529, 111 S.
