Mary H. Coleman

Mary Hartman Coleman, age 93, of Shippensburg, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at Brookview Healthcare Center, Chambersburg. Mary was born July 19, 1929 in St. Thomas, PA, as the daughter of the late Paul Edmund Hartman and Emma Grace (Ricker) Hartman. Mary graduated in the Class of 1947 from St. Thomas High School and worked at H.J. Heinz Co. until her marriage in 1952 when she became a homemaker. She was a member of Messiah United Methodist Church in Shippensburg and Shippensburg American Legion Auxiliary, Post 223. She was an avid Philadelphia Phillies baseball fan. Preceding her in death are her parents, loving husband who passed in 1997, Arthur J. Coleman, sister, Mabel Andrews and her infant brother, Paul Hartman. Surviving are her loving four children, Deborah Braasch and her husband, Douglas of Harrisburg, Douglas Coleman of Fayetteville, West Virginia, Lori Coleman of Elkton, MD and Lisa Black and her husband, Brett of Shippensburg, three granddaughters; Lauren Elyard and her husband, Spencer, Emily Black and Mary Braasch and one great-grandson, Owen Elyard. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. A Public Viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Monday, August 22, 2022 at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg. The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Lemons officiating. A Procession will take place following the service to Parklawns Memorial Gardens & Mausoleum in Chambersburg.
