Mary Ellen Gochenauer

MaryEllen Gochenauer, age 93, passed away at her home in Spring Grove, PA on June 6, 2024. She was born in Hilltown, PA. She was the daughter of the late Blair Morris and Susan Elizabeth (Shultz) Orner.

MaryEllen graduated from Biglerville high school in 1948 and married her high school sweetheart, Aldaus. They shared 73 years together before his passing in 2021. She worked as a Clerk Typist III for PennDOT for 25 years before her retirement. MaryEllen will be remembered fondly by her family as a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her daughters, Elaine Sanchez and Jane Peifer, her son, Steven Gochenauer, and her sister, Dolores Aumen. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Eric Gochenauer and his wife Deann, Neil Gochenauer and his wife Amanda and Andy Sanchez; and her great-grandchildren, Casen, Lily and Ronan Gochenauer.

Professional Services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc. A Viewing for family and friends will be held on Thursday June 13, 2024 from 10:00-11:00 AM at Dugan Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service in her honor will begin at 11:00 AM at Dugan Funeral Home with a graveside service to be held immediately following at Bendersville Cemetery.
