Mary Ellen Shoemaker

Mary Ellen Shoemaker, age 36 of Shippensburg, died Sunday, February 20, 2011 at Hershey Medical Center. She was born Friday, May 3, 1974 in McConnellsburg, the daughter of Mary L. (Hedge) Thomas and the late Edward B. Thomas. Mary attended Forbes Road High School in Waterfall. She was a past member of the Fannett-Metal Fire Company. She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Shoemaker, to whom she was married for18 years. She is also survived by her sons, Robert L. Shoemaker, Jr. and Edward S. Shoemaker, both of Shippensburg; a step-son, Jeremy R. Shoemaker, of Amberson and a step-daughter, Jessica R. Shoemaker of Doylesburg; one sister Myra L. Barnhart, Blain; two brothers, Robert B. Thomas, Fort Littleton and Edward S. Thomas, Shippensburg. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, February 25 at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg with Reverend Robert Mentzer officiating. Interment will be in Amberson Cemetery, Spring Run. A viewing will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, February 24 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Dugan Funeral Home Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg, PA 17257 to assist the family with funeral expenses.
