Mary Jane Emlet, age 90 of York Springs, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Lutheran Home in Gettysburg. She was born Thursday, February 8, 1924 in Dickinson Township, Cumberland County, the daughter of the late Floyd H. and Minerva S. (Bream) Fenton. Mary was formerly employed as a sewing machine operator most of her adult life. She worked at Masland's in Carlisle during WWII, Carlisle Shoe Factory and Blough Manufacturing. She was also a seasonal employee at C.H. Musselman in Gardners and in her later years, she did sewing from her home. She was a member of the former Evangelical Christian Church of Carlisle. Her husband, of 50 years, Harry E. (Henny) Emlet passed away in 2003. She is survived byher son, Allen R. "Rusty" Emlet of York Springs and a sister, Helen Neidig of Mechanicsburg. She was predeceased by sister, Jene Shirey and brothers, Frank Fenton and Joseph Fenton. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 22 at Dugan Funeral Home with Reverend Philip Miller officiating. Interment will be in Upper Bermudian Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1:00 PM until time of services.
