Mary R. Heller, age 84 of Orrtanna, passed away February 11, 2024 at Country Meadows, Mechanicsburg. She was born September 9, 1939 in Waynesboro. She was a daughter of the late Earl Bernard and Ruth Adella (Tressler) Shuyler. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, James C. Heller.
Mary was a cherished homemaker, infusing warmth and love into her home throughout her life. She was a talented cook, crafter and seamstress, deriving immense joy from utilizing these skills to graciously host and welcome guests into her home. Mary was the devoted wife of a 25-year Navy veteran, standing by her partner's side through deployments, moves and the challenges of military life. Mary will be remembered fondly for her dedication to her family and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her children, Daphene Williamson of Pensacola, FL, Michael Heller and wife, Heather Levering of Dillsburg and Patti Sager and husband, Gene of Dillsburg; grandchildren, Melissa Coburger, Charles Williamson, Bradley Williamson, Amanda Sager; great-grandchildren, Miles Coburger, Makhi Coburger, Malcolm Coburger and Jacob Williamson and brother, Terry Shuyler of Headland, AL. Mary was preceded in death by sisters, Laura Shuyler, Linda Smith, Donna Tester and Sharon Bowling.
Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 S. Main Street, Bendersville, where a Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM with Pastor Roy Stetler officiating. Mary will be laid to rest at Biglerville Cemetery at a later date.
