Mary J. Stake

Mary J. Stake, age 91 of Shippensburg, died Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Shippensburg Healthcare Center. Shewas born Saturday, May 13, 1922 in Orrstown, the daughter of the late Joseph Floyd and Ruth Alice (Lebernight) Swanger. Mary graduated from Chambersburg High School. She was a homemaker most of her life, working on the family farm and family sawmill with her husband. She was preceded in death her husband, Samuel B. Stake in who died 1977. She is survived by her son, Joseph E. Stake of Shippensburg, granddaughter Ruth McClure of Orrstown, grandson Robin L. Stake of St. Thomas, and our great grandchildren: Alexis McClure, Aaron McClure, Shelby McClure and Iann Stake. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg. Graveside services will be held Friday, June 28, at 10:00 am in Otterbein Church Cemetery, Paxton Run Road, Newburg.
