Mary L Jumper

Mary “Peach” L. Jumper, age 92, of Newville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at Sarah Todd Nursing Home, Carlisle. She was born May 21, 1931 in Shippensburg, as the daughter of the late Samuel W. and Grace V. (Piper) Minnich.

Mary attended Newville High School. She worked as a laborer for Carlisle Tire and Rubber for many years and then went on to work at BonTon. In her spare time, Mary enjoyed her beloved cats.

Mary is survived by her loving brother, Bruce E. Minnich and his wife, Eileen of Newville; sister, Janet Gaete and her husband, Manuel of Warren, New Jersey and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Ray G. Jumper, two sisters, Martha Rice and Helen Hurley and her brother, Harold Minnich.
