Matthew D. Tuckey

Matthew D. Tuckey, age 68 of Bendersville, passed away December 21, 2023. He was born August 28, 1955 in Gettysburg to the late Donald M. and Shirley A. (Bittinger) Tuckey.

Matthew was a member of Bendersville United Methodist Church, where he sang in the choir and played the bells. He was also a member of Knouse Foods COOP and the Nine Point Lodge in Potter County. Matthew loved playing his Martin guitar for the family country singers. He played bluegrass music and enjoyed racing and hunting.

He is survived by his sisters, Angela Tuckey of Bendersville and Gina Brown and husband, Kevin of Waynesboro and brother, Neal Tuckey of Gardners. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Marsha Tuckey of Gardners and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Matthew was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Tuckey.

Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 S. Main Street, Bendersville, where a viewing will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 10:00am until the time of the funeral service at 12:00pm. Rev. Terry Brosius will officiate. Matthew will be laid to rest at Bendersville Cemetery.
