Michael D. Gormley

Michael D. Gormley, age 66, of Shippensburg, PA, formerly of Milford, CT passed away on October 22, 2024 at Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA. He was born on June 21, 1958 in Quincy, MA to the late Francis J. Sr. and Theresa M. (Ouellet) Gormley.

Michael was a computer specialist for Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford, CT for many years. He was a member of the Cumberland Valley Model Railroad Club in Chambersburg, PA. In addition to collecting and running model trains, he enjoyed building model WWII combat tanks, attending tank shows, league bowling, and fishing.

He is survived by his best friend and life companion, Marie Vallee, of Shippensburg, her daughters, Patricia and Melissa, and their ‘adopted’ daughter, Bonnie Stanislawski. He is also survived by his sister, Kathleen Daly of Wallingford, CT, his sister, Patricia Simpson of Milford, CT, his brother, Francis “Rusty” Gormley and his wife, Eloise, of Orange, CT. Michael has six nephews, 10 great nephews, and one great niece.
