Michael B. Moritz, age 54, formerly of Hershey and York Springs, went to be with the Lord Thursday, February 5, 2015. He was born Thursday, June 9, 1960 in Gettysburg, the son of Clair A. Moritz of York Springs and the late Jacqueline (Pridemore) Moritz. Michael graduated from Bermudian Springs High School in 1978. He was a musician having played in several bands including Ashley Krump, Backstreet Kids, Pout, Silver City, Berkobin Corson and Pridemore. He also taught guitar in the Hershey area. His hobbies and interests included NASCAR, Chicago Bears football, and Baltimore Orioles baseball. He was a member of Fishburn United Methodist Church in Hershey. He is survived by five daughters, Valerie L. Moritz of Shippensburg, Kristin A. Moritz of Harrisburg, Taylor M. Moritz of Schenectady, NY, Tegan M. Moritz and Karleigh M. Moritz, both Hershey, a son, Michael B. Moritz of Hanover, two sisters, Deb L. and husband Ed Zepp-Slaybaugh of York Springs, Kim M. and husband Trent Kennedy of Aspers, one brother, Clair L and wife Cindy Moritz of New Oxford, one granddaughter Isabella Moritz of Shippensburg and a number of nieces and nephews. Professional services are being handled by Dugan FuneralHome, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. A viewing and visitation will be held from6:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, February 10 at Dugan Funeral Home, Bendersville. A Celebration of Life will be held at the discretion of the family.
