Monica Ferry

Monica Ferry, age 39 of Chambersburg, died Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Chambersburg Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Wednesday, September 19, 1973 in Falmouth, MA, the daughter of Walter J. Buryk, Jr. of Falmouth, MA and Jean E. (Benjamin) Spoonhour of Chambersburg. Monica was formerly employed by Franklin County Head Start for 10 years. She was a member of Central Presbyterian Church in Chambersburg. She enjoyed watching her fianc� and brothers playing softball. She enjoyed spending time with family, cooking and teaching her students at Head Start. She was an advocate for Breast Cancer Awareness. She is survived by her fianc�, Charles R. Dinish of Chambersburg.She is also survived by three sons: Tyler J. Ferry and wife Lauren of Shippensburg, Jeremy J. Ferry and Drayden L Dinish, both of Chambersburg; a sister, Nancy J Vermilyen of Chambersburg; four brothers: Walter Paul Buryk, III, Randy S Pottle, Gregory W Pottle and John W Pottle, all of Chambersburg; Paternal Grandmother Louise Buryk of Bethlehem and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her ex-husband Phillip J. Ferry of Chambersburg. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Central Presbyterian Church, 40 Lincoln Way West, Chambersburg with Reverend Scott Bowerman officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Hall Cemetery. A viewing will be held Wednesday, January 2 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg. A viewing will also be held at the church on Thursday from 9:30 AM until time of services. Memorial contributions may be made to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg, PA 17257 to assist the family with funeral expenses.
