Nadine E. (Golden) Wirt age 88 of Gettysburg died Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Gettysburg Hospital. She was born Saturday, May 3, 1924 in Gettysburg, the daughter of the late Amos E. and Grace C. (Bolen) Golden. Nadine was formerly employed by Essex Wire for several years until she began her life's work as an avid homemaker. She was a member of Mt. Olivet United Brethren Church in Guernsey. She was a former Sunday School teacher at her church, serving for ten years. She was also secretary for Women's Missionary at Mt. Olivet U.B. Church. She loved to play pinochle and was an avid player of Mexican Train Dominoes in her later years. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Junior W. Wirt. She is also survived by a son, William E. and wife Rebecca Wirt of Fort Wayne, IN; a daughter, Vickie Eastlack of Lebanon; nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; and a brother, Clair Golden of Abbottstown. She was predeceased by her sister, Jane Golden and two brothers, Galen and Ray Golden. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main St., Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Dugan Funeral Home, Bendersville with Reverend Craig Loewen officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Arendtsville. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 8 at Dugan Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
