Nadine L. Tanger, age 89 of York Springs, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018 at Crosskeys Brethren Home in New Oxford. She was born Wednesday, February 27, 1929 in Biglerville, the daughter of the late Isaiah H. "Ike" and Freda Mae (Miller) Lupp. Nadine graduated from Biglerville High School in 1947. She retired from Bermudian Spring School District where she was a cook at the middle school from 1979 until 1991. She had also worked at her family's restaurant in Biglerville, the former Lupp's Restaurant, where she performed food preparation. She had also worked part-time at the Cyclorama gift shop in Gettysburg. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in York Springs and the quilting group at the church. She loved cooking and baking and also enjoyed doing pottery and painting. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Guy L. "Gus" Tanger. She is also survived by two daughters, Tamara L. and husband Roger Trostle of Westerville, OH, Toni L. and husband William Porter of York Springs, one son, Todd L. and wife Sandy Tanger of Mount Holly Springs, three grandchildren, Shawn Trostle, Amanda (Trostle) and husband Jake Bronneck, Keri Tanger, and one sister Janice Swartzbaugh of Palmyra, PA. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 S. Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 16 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 216 Main Street, York Springs with Reverend Ben Leese officiating. Interment will be in Sunnyside Cemetery. A viewing will be held at the church from 10:00 AM until time of services.
