Naomi E. Piper, age 76 of Spring Run, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 29, 2012 at her home with her family by her side. She was born Friday, June 19, 1936 in Orbisonia, a daughter of the late Martin Luther and Helen R. (Cooper) Kylor. Naomi attended Fort Littleton High School. She was employed by the sewing factory in Spring Run. She was also formerly employed by Owens Corning in Greencastle and Hennesey Manufacturing in Franklin Co. She was a member of Spring Run United Methodist Church. In her earlier years, she attended Amberson United Methodist Church. During that time she served as nursery attendant. She enjoyed spending time with family, gardening and sewing. Her husband,Kenneth R. Piper, Sr. died in 2001.She is survived by, three sons: Kenneth R. and wife Dottie Moran-Piper, Jr. of Rock Hill, SC, Alton "Doug" Piper of Spring Run, Jeffrey L. and wife Pastor Julia (Glunt) Piper of Mount Union; one sister: Margaret L. Kylor of New Boston, TX; four brothers: Luther E. (Ernie) Kylor ofThree Springs, David R. Kylor of Lawn, Frederick J. Kylor of Hesston, Dallas 'Andy' Kylor of Todd; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Kylor. The Piper family has entrusted Naomi's services to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Drive,Shippensburg.Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 3, at Amberson United Methodist Church, 18889 Amberson Road, Spring Run.Pastor Darwin Goshorn will officiate.Interment will be in Amberson Cemetery.A viewing will be held at Amberson United Methodist Church, Monday July 2 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM and on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Relay for Life American Cancer Society, 14089 Second Street,Mount Union, PA 17066.
