Nathan B. Brissett

Nathan B. Brissett, age 82 of Breckenridge Street, Gettysburg, peacefully transitioned into eternal life on Wednesday, July 31, 2013. He was born in Westmoreland, Jamaica, son of the late Luther Brissett and Rebecca Brissett, and was a graduate of the Porters Mountain Primary School in Westmoreland Jamaica; retired from Taneytown Lumber Company in Taneytown, Maryland. In his leisure, he enjoyed playing cards, gardening and watching wrestling. In addition to his parents, three of his brothers preceded Nathan in transitioning into eternal life: Simmian Brissett, Henry Brissett and Claudy Brissett; and four of his sisters: Ann Campbele, Nettie Brissett, Merriam Brissett and Agusta Brissett. Nathan leaves to celebrate his life, his wife, Laura Barrett of Gettysburg, PA; his sons: Heartly Brissett, Hugh Brissett, both of Long Island, NY, Andrew Brissett of Kingston Jamaica and Decaris Graham of Orlando, FL; his daughters: Amanda Brissett, Audrene Brissett of Long Island, and step-daughter Janice Mullins of Hummelstown; his sisters, Adina Glaze, Joan Brissett of Kingston, Jamaica,Alesia Brissett of London, England; fourteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. His life will be celebrated in the Sanctuary of New Life Outreach Ministries, 278 S. Franklin Street, Gettysburg on Saturday, August 10 with viewing at 10:00 AM and services at 11:00 AM.
