Nathan L. Wadel, age 76 of Chambersburg, born January 14, 1945 in Pinola, died Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Chambersburg Hospital. He was born a son of the late Laban A. and Grace (Lehman) Wadel. Nathan graduated from Shippensburg High School in 1963. He was a member of the Strasburg Mennonite Church where he was a retired minister of the gospel. He was a salesman at the Chambersburg Farm Services/Hoobers, Inc. for 50 plus years. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Esther Louise (Ebersole) Wadel. He is also survived by four sons, Titus L. (Rosene) Wadel of Chambersburg, Jason L. (Donna) Wadel of East Waterford, Vernon L. (Karen) Wadel of Bernville, and Clayton L. Wadel of Chambersburg, one daughter, Amy L. (Barton) Risser of Waynesboro, 19 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, one sister, Almeda (Martin) Lehman and three brothers, Clyde, Ray and Marvin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Wadel and a sister, Naomi Wadel. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, January 20 at Rowe Mennonite Church, 754 Pinola Road, Shippensburg with Marvin Musser, David Lehman and Leon Miller officiating. A viewing will be held at the church on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, and on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until time of services. Interment will be in Rowe Mennonite Cemetery.
