Ned J. Clever

Ned J. Clever, age 80 of Orrstown, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Chambersburg Hospital. He was born Friday, February 7, 1936 in Antrim Township, Franklin County, the son of the late Paul D. and Ethel M. (Sites) Clever. Ned was formerly employed by James River Paper Company for 33 years. He was a member of Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post 223 of Shippensburg. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Betty G. (Johnson) Clever. He is also survived by his daughter, Pierrette C. and husband Chad Guyer of Pleasant Hall, one son, Brian J. Clever of Orrstown, one granddaughter, Danielle Cummings of Orrstown, one sister, Flo M. Rockwell of Chambersburg, and one brother, Ellis R. Clever of Mexico. He was preceded in death by a sister, Faye Toms and three brothers, Nelson, Paul Jr. and Harold Clever. Cremation services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg. In honoring Ned's wishes, there are no services.
