Ned Martin Walter, age 89, formerly of Fayetteville, PA, died Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Quincy Nursing Home. Ned was born October 8, 1925 in Adams County, a son of the late Martin T. Walter and Marie (Taylor) Walter. He graduated from Biglerville High School in 1943. Mr. Walter was formerly employed at Knouse Foods as a project planner. He was a member of the choir at St. Paul evangelical Lutheran Church of Fayetteville. He also enjoyed golfing and working on the family farm in Arendtsville. He and his wife, Natalie enjoyed traveling with friends all over the world. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Natalie J. (Peterson) Walter, one son, Michael Walter and wife Angela of Hedgesville, WV, two step-daughters: Kimberly Detwiler and husband Joe of Boonsboro, MD, Karen, Karen Yingling and husband Mike of Fairfield, two step-sons: Charles Sanders and wife Cindy of Fayetteville and Steven Sanders of Great Falls, MT; five grandchildren: Zach and Hannah Walter, Lauren Wood and Josh and Jake Yingling; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Marcella A. Stoner, a brother, Daniel E. Walter and his grandson, Jacob Walter. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Graveside Services will be held at 1:30 PM Friday, September 25 at Fairview Cemetery, Arendtsville with Reverend Eloise M. Shanley officiating.
