Nila M. Miller

Nila M. Miller, age 73 of York Springs, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2016 at her home. She was born Thursday, June 24, 1943 in Hanover, the daughter of the late Robert L. and Loretta R. (Ahlers) Megonnell. Nila graduated from Bermudian Springs High School. She cleaned homes in the Camp Hill area for many years. She was a member of York Springs United Methodist Church, where she was founder of the Scholarship Fund and played a major role in the mission work of the church. She travelled to many different locations spreading the gospel of the Lord. She was a founder of the York Springs Community Day and the popsicle ministry of the church. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, William E. Miller. She is also survived by two sons, Bradley L. Miller of Royse City, TX, Joey C. Miller of Wilkes Barre, three grandchildren, Eric S. Miller, Stephanie A. Pruitt, Andrea N. Miller, four great-grandchildren, Autumn S. Miller, Isabella A. Miller, Carter S. Miller, Noah A. Miller, a sister, Lois L. Donnelly of Abbottstown and two brothers, Leighton L. Megonnell of Hanover and Robert L. Megonnell of York Springs. She was preceded in death by her son, Bryan L. Miller and sister, Joan E. Trcka. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 9 at York Springs United Methodist Church, 840 Trolley Road, York Springs with Reverend William McNeal officiating. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until time of services.
