Norman L. Starliper, age 83 of Shippensburg, died Monday, May 27, 2013 at his home. He was born Sunday, May 11, 1930 in Mercersburg, the son of the late Cyrus and Rosie (Burkholder) Starliper. Norman was formerly employed by Forrester Saw Mill in Orrstown for many years.He had also been employed at J.D. Stouffer Construction in Chambersburg for several years.He was a lifetime member of the Minnequa Club of Shippensburg. He is survived by his wife, Karola (Hiel) Starliper to whom he was married for 35 years. He is also survived by one daughter: Rosetta M. and husband Richard White of Shippensburg; three sons: David L. and wife Athena Starliper of Shippensburg, Michael L. and wife Lorraine Starliper of Saint Thomas, Norman E. Starliper of Chambersburg; 19 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; one sister: Janet Hull of Chambersburg, one brother, Herbert Starliper of Chambersburg. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Difenderfer, two brothers: Winnfield and Robert Starliper and one sister, Beulah Robinson. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg.Funeralservices will be held 7:30 PM Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg with Reverend Charles Beltz officiating.A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg, PA 17257 to assist the family with funeral expenses.
