Oliver D. Cline, Jr.

Oliver D. Cline, Jr., 78, Gardners died Monday, May 9, 2011 at Forest Park Nursing Home in Carlisle. He was born Tuesday, October 18, 1932 in Gardners the son of the late Oliver D. and Mary N. (Myers) Cline, Sr. Oliver was employed by Sweitzer's Paper as a winding room attendant until his retirement in 1975. He was a member of Good Hope Church of God in Carlisle and American Legion Post 262 in Biglerville and served in the Army National Guard. Oliver's first wife, Dorothy F. (Reich) Cline predeceased him in 1991. He is survived by his wife, Esther (Keck) Cline and two daughters: Cindy Ewing, Gardners and Judy Plank, FL; a son, Daniel Cline, York Springs; step-sons: Gary Penner, Gardners and Dennis Penner, SC; six grandchildren: Lori and Scott Farner, Tracy and Jim Musselman, Jennifer and Jeremy Heller, Travis and Michelle Plank, Shana and Russ Strohecker and Jason Cline; great grandchildren: Victoria, Jenna, Isaiah, David and Nathan and great-great grandchildren: Emma, Madison and Brayden . He was also predeceased by his sisters Verl Miller and Jenny Shugarts and brothers: Robert, Russell and Orie Cline. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday, May 12 at Dugan Funeral Home, Bendersville with Reverend Richard Reese officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
