Oscar L. Leech, Sr., age 82 of Bendersville, passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at his home. He was born Tuesday, January 8, 1935 in Turbotville the son of the late Harold B. and Elizabeth (Hans) Leech. Oscar was self-employed as a millwright which he did until age 79. He was a former member of the Moose of Westminster. He enjoyed bowling until the age of 81. He also enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, riding his atv, snowmobiling and golfing. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Carol R. (Sanders) Leech. He is also survived by three daughters, Linda J. and husband Rick Farmer of Tannersville, Jodi and husband Barry Cruver of Lehighton, Tracey L. and husband Rodney Barnes of McSherrystown, two sons, Wilbert D. (Buddy) and wife Diane Leech of Fairfield, Oscar L. and wife Elaine Leech, Jr. of Ephrata, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, three brothers, John Leech of Hughesville, Boyd Leech of West Virginia, Roy Leech of West Virginia, three sisters, Clara May of Hughesville, Ruth Ann Schreck of Muncy, and Joyce Fetzer of Muncy. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Leech, Jr, and Frank Leech and two sisters, Lorma Jean Leech and Mary Ellen Little, grandson Jeremy Leech and great-granddaughter Olivia Rose Leech. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 2 at 10:30 AM at Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., Bendersville with Reverend Richard Baker officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until time of services. Because of his love of Bear Mountain, memorial contributions may be made to Bear Mountain Homeowners Association, PO Box 264, Bendersville, PA 17306.
