Patricia A. Fetters

March 20, 1957 — December 4, 2021

Patricia “Trish” A. Fetters (McGee), age 64 of Biglerville, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021 at York Hospital. She was born Wednesday, March 20, 1957 in Buffalo, NY, the daughter of the late Thomas G. and Anna M. (Dossert) McGee. After securing the Miss Hagerstown Crown in 1977, Trish earned her Associate's Degree in Communications from Hagerstown Junior College. She was formerly employed by Ira E. Lady American Legion Post 262, the Chambersburg Public Opinion, and Wilson College. Trish was intensely creative throughout her life. While in school, she wrote and performed for the Potomac Playmakers. Her medium for expression later shifted to watercolor, acrylics, and charcoal, which she used to create unique landscapes that were equal parts eerie and beautiful. In the kitchen, Trish was able to cook delicious meals from “whatever was in the fridge” and was known for her chipped beef gravy, pork and sauerkraut, and beef stroganoff. Trish’s goal in every conversation was to make people laugh. She especially loved children and would happily spend hours talking and drawing with them anywhere she went. A magical storyteller, she pulled from her theater background to craft original characters and complex storylines that captivated her audience. She is survived by one daughter, Kayla F. and husband Brendan D. Gephart, with one grandchild on the way. She is also survived by her companion of 11 years, David J. Weyant, and four brothers; Michael G. McGee, Terrance P. McGee, Timothy J. McGee, and Mark T. McGee. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. A Celebration of Trish's Life will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2022 - additional details forthcoming. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Potomac Playmakers of Hagerstown, 17303 W Washington St, Hagerstown, MD 21740.
