Patricia Wool

Patricia “Pat” Wool, age 85, of Shippensburg, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 20, 2023 at her home. She was born July 1, 1937 in Bay Shore, NY, as the daughter of the late Anne Leonhardt.

Patricia graduated in the Class of 1955 from Bay Shore High School. She worked for the local telephone company and eventually went on to be a Track Official for the Section 11 Athletics for over 15 years. In her spare time, Pat enjoyed bowling, being a semi-professional bowler herself and she also was an avid and expert fisherperson.

Pat is survived by her three sons, Michael S. Wool and his wife, Charlotte of Dillsburg, PA, John D. Wool, Rochester, NY and Timothy A. Wool and his wife, Kim of Woodstock, GA; nine grandchildren, Dr. Nathan (Kate) Wool, Micala (Nate) Mattis, Katie Wool, Keri Wool, Dr. Jesse (Amber) Wool, Christopher Wool, Liana Wool, Nickolaus Wool and Erin Wool and five great-grandchildren, Luke, Andrew, Lauren, Joshua (children of Nathan and Kate Wool) and Lucy (daughter of Jesse and Amber Wool). In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Wool, Jr. who passed in September of 2013, one sister, Fan Jett and brother, Clarence Leonhardt.

Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Memorial Services are at the discretion of the family. Contributions may be made in Patricia’s memory to Special Olympics Pennsylvania, Capital Area Region, 55 Miller Street, Enola, PA 17025.
