Paul Elwood Gift, age 77 of Chambersburg died on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Falling Spring Nursing and Rehab. He was born on Thursday, May 17, 1934 in Chambersburg, the son of the late John Melvin and Ruth Gertrude (Shatzer) Gift. Paul retired in 1999 after almost 40 years of service with Nitterhouse Concrete Company.He frequented local restaurants, the 30 West Family being his favorite. He was an avid sports fan of the Redskins, Penn State and the Phillies. He was also a fan of Chambersburg Trojan sports. His first wife, Delores D. (Spiker) Fuller, mother of Teresa, passed in 2005. His second wife, JoAnn R. (Lehman) Gift, mother of Terry and Randy, passed away in 1994. He is survived by a daugter, Teresa L. and husband Stanley McBeth, Chambersburg, two sons: Terry D. Gift and Randy E. and wife Lisa Gift, all of Chambersburg; four grandchildren: Christina J. and Shannon N. McBeth and Hope M. and Colby A. Gift; a sister, Kathleen Douglas of Chambersburg; two brothers, A. Wayne Gift of Chambersburg and Dennis E. Gift of Zullinger; numberous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Grace who died at birth and two brothers, John E. (Joe) Gift and M. Leroy Gift. Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg is entrusted with handling professional services. Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, June 20 at Greencastle Foursquare Church, 236 Tyrone Street, Greencastle with Reverend Kevin Gift officiating. The family requests any memorial contributions be made to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg, PA 17257 to help defray funeral expenses.
