Pauline V. Wonders

Pauline V. Wonders, age 78 of York Springs, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Church of God Nursing Home in Carlisle. She was born Saturday, May 18, 1935 in Guernsey, the daughter of the late Wilmer O. and Beulah May (Smith) Slaybaugh. Pauline graduated from Biglerville High School in 1953. She had attended EBI Christian College in Lancaster. She was attending Global University On-Line to receive her degree in Theology. She was formerly employed by Naval Ship Parts Control Center in Mechanicsburg for 33 years. She was a member of Mt. Olivet United Brethren in Christ Church in Guernsey, Women's Missionary Society, and assisted with Vacation Bible School. Pauline formerly sold Bee Line clothing and was a consultant for Home and Garden Parties. Pauline loved to attend her grandchildren's school and sporting events, family gatherings and going to events with her former Biglerville High School classmates. She participated in Senior Olympics for over twenty years. Pauline also enjoyed caring for animals which she adopted from the SPCA. She is survived by a daughter, Cathy D. and husband Rick Bower of Biglerville, a son, Dean W. and wife Ann Wonders, Sr. of York Springs, four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a sister, Doris Wilson of Mechanicsburg. She was preceded in death by her brother, George Slaybaugh. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, April 5 at Dugan Funeral Home, 111 S. Main Street, Bendersville with Reverend Craig Loewen will officiate. Interment will be in Strang Cemetery.A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Friday, April 4 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt.
