Peggy Ann Diveley

December 4, 1942 — March 8, 2026

Biglerville

Peggy Ann (Gilbert) Diveley, 83, of Biglerville, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at her home with family at her bedside on March 8, 2026. She was born on December 4, 1942, in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.

Peggy was the loving and devoted wife of Eddie Diveley, with whom she shared 66 wonderful years of marriage. Together they built a life centered around family and the farm they proudly called home.

She was a devoted mother to her four children, Teresa (Garry) Kramer of East Berlin, Cindy (Robert) Lewis of Lewisberry, Christine Byers of Biglerville, and Eddie (Dustine) Diveley II of Biglerville.

Peggy was also a proud and loving grandmother to eight grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Her family was the center of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Peggy was predeceased by her parents, John Gilbert and Janice (Raffensperger) Gilbert; and her brothers, James Gilbert and Robert (Vonnie) Gilbert. She is survived by one brother, George (Barbara) Gilbert of Fairfield.

She was a truly wonderful woman whose kindness, warmth, and generosity touched everyone who knew her. A hardworking and talented person, she played an important role in the daily life of the family farm she and her husband built together. She managed the farm’s bookkeeping, was known as an incredible cook, and was skilled seamstress. Peggy had a gift for making people feel welcome and cared for, and she was a loyal friend who was deeply loved by all who knew her.

Though she will be deeply missed, her greatest joy in life was her family, and the love she gave so freely will continue to live on through the family and home she so lovingly built. Peggy’s faith was a guiding light throughout her life, and her family finds comfort in knowing she has gone home to be with the Lord.
