Peter J. Schriver

Peter J. Schriver, age 64 of Gardners, died Friday, May 22, 2015 at Gettysburg Hospital. He was born Tuesday, August 15, 1950 in Gardners the son of the late Howard R. and Mary (Cool) Schriver. Peter graduated from Biglerville High School in 1968. He was formerly employed by H. David Pitzer as a truck driver for close to 40 years. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Vickie L. (McIntyre) Schriver, and the mother of his two sons, Bessie J. Rife of Gettysburg. He is also survived by a daughter, Christina A. Clinton of Aspers, four sons, Jason R. Schriver of Mechanicsburg, Ricky A. Clinton of Aspers, Ben H. Schriver ofYork Springs, and Ryan A. Clinton of Gardners, seven grandchildren, Cassandra Schriver, Jacqueline Schriver, Destiny Schriver, Kaden Clinton, Joseph Schriver, Dylan Chinnick, and Mason Clinton, six sisters, Joan M. Aughinbaugh of Westminster, MD Barbara T. McDannell of Gettysburg, Suzanne M. Griest of Gardners, Regina M. Miller of Chambersburg, Rebecca M. Myers of Hanover, and Christine A. Cool of MD, five brothers, Thomas H. Schriver of Hanover, Scott P. Schriver of Bendersville, William G. Schriver of Aspers, Daniel G. Schriver of Bendersville, and John D. Schriver of Gardners. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. A viewing will be held Wednesday, May 27 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Dugan Funeral Home.
