Pinkie L. Statum

Pinkie L. Statum, age 85 of Chambersburg, passed away Friday, November 13, 2015 at the Chambersburg Hospital. She was born Wednesday, September 17, 1930 in Evergreen, AL, the daughter of the late Lucious and Annie (Rothal) Boone. She worked and retired from South Mountain Restoration Center. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Statum Sr. in 1998. She is survived by her children, Ervin (Brenda) Statum of Chambersburg, Joseph Statum Jr., of Harrisburg, Yvonne Reeves of West Palm Beach, FL, Nadine (Gerald) Davis of Shippensburg, Carolyn Statum of Chambersburg, Glynn Statum of Atlanta; two sisters, Ethal Mae Wallace of Lamont, FL, Vinie Mae Baker of Wewahitchka, FL, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She took in and raised as her own Randy Hill of Baltimore, MD. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Tim, Ervin, Charles, Eddie, Willie, Lucious; a sister, Clara and a step-daughter, Geraldine Crawford. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Funeral Services will be held 12:00 PM on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Greater Good News Church, 601 South Main Street, Chambersburg with Bishop Edgar L. Scott officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. A repass will be held following the services at John Wesley AME Zion Church, 155 West Catherine Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201. Interment will be in Lebanon Cemetery Chambersburg.
