Ray G. "Pete" Jumper

Ray G. (Pete) Jumper, 79 of Newville died on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 athis home. He was born Monday, August 18, 1930 in Oakville, the son of the late Bruceand Jeanette (Rhoads) Jumper. Ray was employed by Cumberland Valley Feed and Seed Co-op as a mechanic for manyyears before retiring in 1995. During his retirement, he performed light mechanical work at his home. He is survived by his wife, Mary L. (Minnich) Jumper to whom he was married for 51 years. He is also survived by his sister, Pearl Weibley, Oakville. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Jumper and three sisters: Gladys Praisner, Dorothy Parks, and Beulah Quigley. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory. A viewing and visitationwill be held from 7:00 to 9:00 PMon Friday, July 9 at the Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg. Graveside service and interment will be in Newville Cemetery on Friday, August 27 at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers the familyoffers that memorial donations be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 1513 Cedar Cliff Drive, Suite 100, Camp Hill, PA 17011 or the animal shelter of your choice.
