Ray R. Kane

Ray R. Kane, age 83, of Pleasant Hall, died on Friday, October 28, 2011 at his home. He was born Tuesday, October 2, 1928 in Orrstown, the son of the late Harvey and Demma (Geyer) Kane, Sr. Ray worked his early years in construction. From 1967 on, he worked as a dairy farmer on his "Raising Kane" farm. Ray is survived by his wife of 42 years, Geraldine "Gerry" (Johnson) Kane. He is also survived by two daughters: Rochelle Ott of Chambersburg, Barbara Ann Timmons of Upper Strasburg; two sons: Shannon Kane of Orrstown and Samuel Kane of Pleasant Hall; a sister, Erma Ferrell of Orrstown; two brothers: Harvey Kane, Sr. of Orrstownand Fred Kane of Horse Valley. His sister, Eleanor Keefer, preceded him in death. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg. Services will be at the discretion of the family.
