Raymond A. Potts, Jr.

Raymond A. Potts, Jr., age 67 of Mont Alto, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Hershey Medical Center. He was born Sunday, March 19, 1950 in Hagerstown, the son of the late Raymond A. Sr. and Mary M. (Cline) Potts. Ray graduated from North Hagerstown High School in 1968. He was formerly employed by Hanover Wire Cloth in Hanover for 12 years. He attended SpiriTrust Lutheran in Chambersburg. He enjoyed oil painting, fishing, hunting, camping, the outdoors and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, of 47 years, Laura Michelle (Wallbank) Potts. He is also survived by one son, Christopher M. and wife Doddie Potts of Fayetteville, four grandchildren, Michael Potts of Hanover, Joshua Potts of Thomasville, Aubrei Swackhammer of Dillsburg, and Tyrell Swackhammer of Fayetteville, two step-sisters, Dayneen Potts and Bettine Riggs both of Columbia, SC. He was preceded in death by brother Gregory D. Potts and one step-sister, Jean Potts. Cremation services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg.
