Rebecca Ellen Maines

Rebecca “Becky” Ellen Maines, age 76, of Philipsburg and formerly of Chambersburg, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at Fox Subacute Nursing Home in Mechanicsburg. She was born April 30, 1948 in Philipsburg, PA, as the daughter of the late Robert Faulkner, Sr. and Julia Rebecca (Knepp) Beish.

Rebecca graduated from Philipsburg Osceola High School. Rebecca worked at Cracker Barrel in Chambersburg for many years. On April 7, 1967, she married Leonard Carl Maines, Sr., who preceded her in death on December 28, 2009. In her spare time, Becky enjoyed cooking and baking and spending time with her family.

Rebecca is survived by her daughter, Esther R. Dyer; two sons, Kevin J. Maines and Leonard C. Maines, Jr.; goddaughter, Donna Verost; two brothers, Robert Faulkner, Jr., and David Faulkner; three sisters, Erma Maines, Armenta Conklin and Billie Jo Conklin; five grandchildren, Micheal Maines, Roger Dyer, Ashly Eggers, Amanda Peters and Alysha Maines; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Rebecca was preceded in death by her three brothers, Thomas, Kenneth and Thyessen Faulkner; sister, Myrna Stiner; son-in-law, Roger Dyer, II; two daughters-in-law, Kathi Maines and Tina Maines; two grandchildren, Julia Rebecca Maines and Brian Maines and her best friends, Norman and Donna Bell.

Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. There will be no services at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the discretion of the family. Friends may express online condolences at www.DuganFH.com.
