Richard Lewis Beamer

Richard (Dick) Lewis Beamer, age 87, passed away April 19, 2025 at Altoona Hospital. He was born September 25, 1937 in Hanover to the late Paul A. and Mae U. (Gochenauer) Beamer. On September 5, 1959, Richard married Joyce Warren at the Wenksville United Methodist Church. They celebrated 61 years of marriage until Joyce passed away in 2021.

Richard graduated from Biglerville High School in 1955. He retired from Mott’s Food where he was an employee for 40+ years. Throughout Dick’s life, he enjoyed metal detecting, old bottle collecting, working on clocks, antique gasoline engines, baseball, antiquing, etc. But his greatest loves were his family and pets. Dick became known as “Pappy” to his care givers Laura, Monica and Missy who he loved dearly.

Richard is survived by 2 daughters, Melinda K. Beamer and Pauline C. Dobson (Edward Dobson, deceased) both of Altoona, PA.
