Richard L. Comerer

Richard L. Comerer, age 75 of Shippensburg, passed away June 15, 2026 at York Hospital. He was born February 6, 1951 in Chambersburg to the late Wilbur W. and Susan V. (Flora) Comerer. Richard was an equipment operator for Southampton Township, a member of the Minnequa Club and the American Legion Post 223. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping, especially at Jerry’s Flats.

Richard is survived by his wife of 56 wonderful years, Linda G. (McKee) Comerer; son, Douglas McKee and wife, Angela of Shippensburg; daughter, Christine Bailey and husband, Denny of Shippensburg; grandchildren, Rianon Turner, Hailey Wildason and husband, Dakota, Ryan Bailey and wife, Hilda and Brandon Bailey and great-granchildren, Penelope, Declan and Hazel. He is also survived by sisters, Linda Cummings of Shippensburg, Deborah Peters of Florida and Penny Burd of Carlisle and step-sisters, Betty Boyd of Shippensburg and Judy Darr of Newville. Richard was preceded in death by his brother, Randy Comerer and step-sister, Beverly.
